Arrest Records in Bradford County
The Bradford County Sheriff’s Office makes arrests in unincorporated areas and now handles current Starke incidents after the city police department ended in 2024. Lawtey has an active police department. Hampton relies on sheriff service documented in city minutes. FDLE, Florida Highway Patrol, and federal agencies can also make arrests, so the correct report custodian depends on the arresting agency.
Most local detainees are booked into Bradford County Jail. The jail creates the intake record, assigns booking and MNI numbers, takes fingerprints and a photograph, and records the initial charges, bond, and custody status. The official Bradford County Jail page gives the facility’s current contact and service information.
The jail entry is a custody snapshot. It does not replace the arrest narrative or the later Bradford County court case.
Search Bradford SmartWEB Bookings
The official SmartWEB jail roster supports name and date-range searches. Use a last name alone or refine it with first and middle names. Booking and release date ranges help locate recent or past roster entries. Dynamic choices under Search For, Sorted By, and Order were not reliably exposed during inspection, so no unverified options should be assumed.

Bradford County Arrest Lookups
No single screen contains the whole arrest trail. SmartWEB supplies custody facts. The arresting agency supplies its report. Civitek and the Clerk show filed charges and outcomes. FDLE aggregates reported Florida arrest and disposition cycles. Use the channel that answers the actual question, then compare records without assuming every name match is the same person.

BCSO Records accepts walk-in, telephone, and written or mailed requests. The unit is at 945-B N. Temple Avenue, Starke, FL 32091, P.O. Box 400, with fax 904-966-6160. Its official page lists two direct numbers, 904-966-6380 and 904-966-6312. If one fails, use the sheriff’s main number, 904-966-2276. Published records hours are weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays.
Bradford Arrest Agency Routes
For a BCSO arrest, request the report from sheriff records. Starke-origin incidents after March 1, 2024 also route there because official city material documents the end of the Starke Police Department. Hampton has no identified city police department, and official minutes document a BCSO deputy and code-enforcement detail. Those records likewise begin with BCSO.
Lawtey Police remains active at 2793 Lake Street, Lawtey, FL 32058, phone 904-782-3751, fax 904-782-1379, with mail to P.O. Drawer G. Start there for a Lawtey police narrative. There is no verified report-copy portal or fee schedule. Its complaint form concerns employee conduct and is not a public-record request form. A state or federal arrest report must be requested from the agency that created it, even if Bradford Jail holds a related booking.
The Bradford County Sheriff FL mobile app is an official BCSO product for tips, crime reporting, news, and public-safety features. It is available through the Apple App Store and Google Play. The store descriptions do not establish an inmate or warrant lookup feature, so use SmartWEB and the published office channels for arrest records. The app is not an emergency channel.
Arrest Records: What They Contain
SmartWEB displays fields useful for separating people with similar names, but public exposure does not justify republishing sensitive identifiers. Compare the booking number, MNI number, booking date, agency, and case context. Use the court file for the formal charge and outcome.

The public profile also can show displayed name, race, sex, date of birth, age on booking date, and address given. Do not infer unverified traits such as housing pod, scheduled court date, medical flags, height, weight, or magistrate identity. Those fields were not confirmed on the inspected profile.
Bradford Booking and First Appearance
After arrest, the jail records custody details and transmits fingerprints and arrest identifiers into the state reporting chain. A detained person appears before a judge within 24 hours. BCSO says Bradford County’s daily first appearance occurs around 10:00 a.m. Bond may be unavailable until that hearing. The time is an operating guide, not a promise about a particular case.

This sequence explains why bond and court information may not be complete at intake. The jail supplies release details, while the Clerk or counsel supplies court dates.
Recent Bradford County Bookings
SmartWEB is the first official stop for current or recent Bradford County bookings. Search by booking and release ranges, then open the profile for status, identifiers, charges, bond, and arresting agency. Because entries can roll off or change after release or transfer, a missing current result cannot establish a clean arrest history.
SmartWEB CAD is a different tool. Its incident log can show an incident number, date and time, event type, city or county, and street-level location. A CAD entry records a call or response. It does not prove that anyone was arrested, and it does not contain the full narrative. Request CAD data, audio, and the incident report separately when each is needed.
Custody can also move beyond the county system. SmartWEB covers county pretrial and recent detention. Request Bradford Arrest Narratives
A focused BCSO request identifies the record, not the reason for seeking it. Supply a report or CAD number when known, approximate date and time, location, deputy or agency, and requested format. Ask for a cost estimate before extensive work and request release of nonexempt portions if some facts require redaction. Florida Public Records Law allows reasonable time for retrieval, review, and redaction; it sets no universal fixed response-day count.
BCSO publishes ordinary copies at $0.15 per page, certified copies at $1 per document plus duplication, and traffic crash reports at $2. Extensive research may require a deposit and special-service charge. Mailed requests should include a self-addressed stamped envelope, enough postage, and payment for copies. An email address used for a request becomes a public record, so the office suggests phone or writing when that matters.

Bradford Jail Counts in Context
BCSO’s 2024 summary reported an average daily population of 136, 1,183 inmate gains, and 1,207 inmate losses. It separately reported 114 U.S. Marshal gains and 88 losses. These are workload and custody-flow measures. They are not a count of unique Bradford County residents arrested, the jail’s legal capacity, or proof that local crime rose.
The same report listed 184 jail incident reports, 209 disciplinary reports, 20 uses of force, and 184 felony registrations. Those figures describe operations inside the jail and registration workload. They should not be blended into city crime rates. No current defensible official city-level UCR comparison was available for Starke, Lawtey, and Hampton.
Arrest Records vs Conviction Records
An arrest record says that an agency took a person into custody or documented an arrest. It does not say prosecutors filed the same charge or that a court found guilt. The State Attorney may decline, add, reduce, or amend charges. The Clerk’s case file records each filed count and its final result.

Note: An arrest is not proof of guilt, and a booking may never lead to a filed charge or conviction.
